St. Vincent

How I spent my summer vacation: went to visit family in Georgia, spent much of the week in a swimming pool drinking margaritas, played a lot of Arkham Horror and a fair bit of poker, got back to Seattle to find our house had been burglarized and my cat was missing, and to top it all off, I immediately got food poisoning from something in the fridge. It's amazing how fast you can burn off a week of complete relaxation mere moments after stepping foot back in civilization.

In other news, here is some great indie pop music to listen to. This St. Vincent lady's got moxie, I tell ya! From the 2009 release Actor.

St. Vincent - The Strangers
St. Vincent - Save Me From What I Want

Recently on Comfort Radio:
Kat Cross - Requiem For A Dub
Fortdax - C Conceit Knot Point Hanging...
Rasputina - Momma Was An Opium Smoker [Melora Mix]

Hey,
Sorry about your cat, burglary, and so on.

Three things: I really like your blog. I read it every time you post. I appreciate it.

I'm coming to Seattle on June 29th-July 5 and was wondering if you have any suggestions on live music in town for a total newbee.

Three, I have a great friend whose son is the bass player in fischerspooner; what a cool group!
