Amorphous Androgynous
So the Amorphous Androgynous guys just released this mammoth 2-CD collection called A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Exploding In Your Mind - Volume 1. It is a mix of old weirdness from the likes of Donovan, Miles Davis, Can, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Hawkwind; and newer weirdness from folks like Devendra Banhart, Pop Levi, The Earlies, and Amorphous Androgynous themselves. I can't say I'm ordinarily a huge fan of this aesthetic slice (which AA refer to as "Psychedelic Cosmic Space Music"), but the curation here is quite impeccable and most of the 44 tracks (!!) feel like forgotten treasures. Your mileage, naturally, may vary.
Cranium Pie - Drying In The Sun
Nick Nicely - 49 Cigars
Recently on Comfort Radio:
The Bees - I Love You
The Pipettes - Dirty Mind
Beastie Boys - Ricky's theme

Looks like a pretty good set. Always nice (no pun intended) to see Nick Nicely get some recognition, although the other side of the single ("Hilly Fields (1892)") was even better. Thanks for pisting this.
