Watcha Clan
Watcha Clan offers a tour of the globe as filtered through slick beats on the 2008 release, Diaspora Hi-Fi. On a record that comfortably encompasses African, Arabic, and reggae influences, the Balkan grooves are definitely the creamy filling. You don't usually see this much variety on a single platter outside of a compilation, but fortunately, the influences hang together nicely instead of fighting for your attention.
