Pattern Is Movement present a beautifully unexpected fusion of chamber-oriented prog rock and show tunes - the stylish, charming quality of the vocals sound like they are straight out of some off-Broadway musical comedy, while the arrangements, strings and all, are complicated and bizarre, yet somehow restrained and elegant at the same time.
