Simian Mobile Disco
My problem with Simian Mobile Disco is not the music, which I find to be very enjoyable, crunchy / grindy electronica. Rather, it's the image the band's name conjures up, which is of that one stupid art car that shows up every year to Burning Man which is just a disco ball mounted above a 4x4 "dance floor" that somebody's slapped onto the back of a golf cart, and then they cram 400 people on it and crank bad music out and drive around as though, you know, a mobile disco is a big deal or something. Aaaaaanyway, yeah, I do like the band. From the 2007 release Attack Decay Sustain Release.
