The Rapture

In the "better late than never" department, I decided to jump on the bandwagon for The Rapture after hearing them on KEXP approximately eleventy billion times and realizing that I wasn't ever actually getting tired of hearing them. My introduction to dance punk started with Infadels, but it was hearing The Rapture that made me realize I should pay attention to the whole emerging genre; that doesn't mean I'm going to, of course, but it's the thought that counts. From the 2006 release Pieces Of The People We Love.

The Rapture - Don Gon Do It
The Rapture - Get Myself Into It

Recently on Comfort Radio:
Lili Haydn - Mama
DJ Food - Scratch Yer Head (Square Pusher Mix)
Spiritualized - Shine a Light

Maybe a bit of CHK CHK CHK (slightly awkward name but some excellent multi instrumentalists or White Rose Movement, foxy female on keys or Union of Knives. When this genre pops its head up again.
