Fun-Da-Mental

According to the interwebs, the new Fun-Da-Mental album, All Is War, is "the year's most controversial album," with lyrics both brazen and nuanced - and apparently upsetting enough to warrant cries of "this guy's a terrorist!" from non-fans in the UK. (The album cover shows the Statue of Liberty hooded and wired up all Abu Ghraib style, if that gives you a sense of where they're headed here.) I can't comment on any of that, since my understanding of global politics is limited to a vague sense that people who live outside of America have these strange things called "different opinions". What I can say is that the beats on this disc are slamming, and the overall tone is aggressive and engaging.

Fun-Da-Mental - Electro G-Had (Punjab Style)
Fun-Da-Mental - 786 All Is War
Fun-Da-Mental - Ya La Li (The Leopard)

Recently on Comfort Radio:
cansei de ser sexy - fuckoff is not the only thing you have to show
Neulander - Blue Bird Party
tortoise - salt the skies

sorry, but this is a weak-cheap statement (even if it should be meant as irony) - and the music's style too ;)
