Caroline

Beautifully ethereal singer Caroline creates quietly impressive electropop ballads - think The Postal Service's cover of "Against All Odds", except without all the irony, and her voice makes you kind of get all weak-kneed. It actually reminded me a lot of the overlooked Anthony Stewart Head/George Sarah record from years ago. Very pretty piano-playing, very expressive song-writing, and nicely integrated electronics make this a pretty tasty little gem, "if you like this sort of thing." From the 2006 album Murmurs.
