Shrift
Shrift is delightfully samba-tastic global fusion, featuring a vaguely Bebel Gilberto-like singer (apparently someone famous in Brazil) with creative downtempo arrangements to back her. Note: this version of "Floating City" is not a cover of the Y Kant Tori Read track of the same name. Which, you know, would have ruled. From the album Lost in A Moment, released by Six Degrees.
Shrift - As Far As I Can See
Shrift - Floating City
Shrift - To The Floor
Recently on Comfort Radio:
Kinky - Cornman (SLSS remix)
Esthero - Anywayz
William Orbit - Time To Get Wise

Wow...How did you get these tracks? The album is not supposed to drop until 2/2006. Did Six Degrees change the release dates?
thanks.

amazon has it listed with a release date of August 23, 2005 and notes 1-2 weeks for delivery. i did see that the six degrees site says 2/2006 as you note; however, it's possible this was self-released first, since amazon currently lists the label as "label name not provided".

The Shrift CD has indeed been pushed back to 2/7/06 in order to give us more time to set up the release. Thanks for helping to spread the word about this really special music
