Luminescent Orchestrii
Blogio Oddio turned me on to the wonderful sounds of NYC band Luminescent Orchestrii, purveyors of fine "Romanian gypsy punk" music. They claim that "orchestrii" means "small ensemble with orchestral intent"; I just think it sounds cool. The first track is apparently their "hit" and is undeniably swank; the second track kicks it into high gear. The tracks below are from their 2005 album Too Hot To Sleep; get more freebies from the band here.
