Yo-Yo Ma

Another Wednesday guest post from Coe, who writes:

"Although Yo-Yo Ma is known as one of the finest classical cello players in the world, his most interesting work is an ethnic fusion series called Silk Road Journeys. He collaborates with musicians from across Asia, producing an improvisational exploration of different musical traditions and aesthetics. Most of this album is pretty, sweeping, minor-chord stuff, and would fit right in with an after-hours set. From the most recent work, Silk Road Journeys: Beyond the Horizon."

Yo-Yo Ma - Battle Remembered
