"Defiantly original, definitively hip-hop"
Aesop Rock has a new album coming out later this month, Fast Car Danger Fire & Knives. My appreciation of hip hop blossomed relatively late in life, and stuff like this makes me glad I finally got the first inklings of a clue about it. Released by Definitive Jux Records, whose slogan - "Defiantly original, definitively hip-hop" - sums it all up.
Aesop Rock - Zodiaccupuncture
Aesop Rock - Holy Smokes
Aesop Rock - Number Nine
In other, much more depressing news, it seems that Lamb has broken up. Actually, judging by conflicting reports on their site, they have either gone on "a back burner" (according to Andy), or are definitely "ex-Lambs" (according to Lou). Lou is apparently recording a solo album, and Andy has new Hiphoptimist music on the way; but still. I mean, damn.
